Greetings from the Chairman

The Organisation for the Economic Development of Gran Canaria (SPEGC) is an entity dependent on the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Economy and Finance. Its primary objective is to promote economic and business activities that contribute to development of Gran Canaria and the creation of employment on the island.

We at the SPEGC are actively promoting different actions to improve competitiveness and diversify the economy. By taking actions that range from the Document of Measures to Improve the Competitiveness of Gran Canaria, which was agreed by consensus of the island’s principal institutional, economic and social agents, to support for technology parks and the promotion of instruments to finance business growth, and to the Tecnova project aimed at boosting the creation of enterprises and skilled jobs, we are working ceaselessly along that line of commitment to the economic development of Gran Canaria.By means of this Website, we wish to extend the activities and initiatives of the Organisation for the Economic Development of Gran Canaria and provide the public and enterprises with relevant information about the design and development of business initiatives.
